“Everyone Welcome”/”A Gift to Be Shared”

This sign belongs to a church (actually, a temple) on College Street that I pass by regularly. I really love it—it’s so crafty and collage-y.

Rather different from the more typical sign outside another neighbourhood church a few blocks north-west. As the message changes often, this one has the virtue of creating intrigue for the passerby—What will it say this week?

Here’s what you’d have come across on a stroll along Ossington Avenue yesterday afternoon.

I’ve always found church signs to be so interesting. Some of them are clearly really well thought out, and some just end up being unintentionally hilarious.

So true. I can’t remember the exact wording but a couple of weeks ago at the same Ossington Ave. church the sign said something like “God gave you two ears and one mouth. Think about it.”

Was it something I said?— A couple of days after my post, the Ossington Ave. sign was changed once, then went blank. It’s been two weeks now! Maybe the sign changer went on vacation? Perhaps they’ve run out of inspirational quotes?
Maybe they should consult this site…

Lost their sign changer? I’ll do it! I’m looking for a job… =)
